1.Checking the condition of the light

The damage to the light is assessed and outlined.

2.Application of heat to restore shape

Restoring the original shape of the light by applying heat.

3.Repair location

Determining the precise location of repair.

4.Temporarily fix the light

ANONE APLHA is applied to the light to fix it at the corner position temporarily.

5.Driving pins into the light (part1)

Pins are embedded into the light from several positions in order to maximise its strength and durability.

7.Paper Sanding

A small "pencil sander" is used to file down the pins in order to smooth out the surface

Using a #180 sander, the surface is then smoothed.

9.Surface preparation

Prepare the "painting primer surfacer" into a 2 component putty.

10.Putty

The two-component putty is made from plastic putty #8108 produced by 3M.

11.Putty (continued)

The putty processing of the light is done with #180, #240 and #320 putty.

12.Masking process

Mask off the unaffected areas in order to paint only the repaired areas.

13.Coating operation

Coating of the affected area is done with the prepared putty using #180, #240 and #320.

14.The end of the repair process

Finally, excess paint is blown off the light.
